BMW E36 GTspec hood

Our hood for the E36 is made from 100% full aerospace grade carbon fiber making it the lightest hood available for this platform at just 10lbs. Made with UV stable epoxy and top coated with a UV protective automotive clear coat (instead of thick brittle gel coat) to give you the longest life under the sun possible. With space being limited under the hood we placed the cooling vent as close to the radiator as we could, and incorporated a built in wicker to provide a negative pressure zone above the vent to maximize the cooling effect.

Note* due to the construction and light weight of the carbon hood and the high strength of the oem struts required to lift the massively heavy factory hood, the factory hood struts are not used on this hood. Because of this we offer a pair of titanium hood props as an add on option.
